Taking 6 up to full 8 weeks to produce one single piece, whilst employing the ancient-old practice of loom-weaving, all unique items are exclusively made to order. Her high-fashion creations include lavishly beautiful and exotic coats, dresses and stoles, all with an ethnic yet contemporary look and feel.
The hand-woven fabrics are a 100% made of organic cotton and wool, dyed with natural coloring. Each garment is sartorially executed by hand by tribal lineages living in Southern regions of Colombia and made with the utmost satisfaction, dedication and joy!

Designer Adriana Santacruz - Style and Stories

Colombian fashion designer Adriana Santacruz is the ultimate connoisseur when it comes to the centuries-old practice of weaving and loom fixing. Up to this day, the ancient craft of weaving looms is still employed by indigenous communities in her region.

By starting up an alliance and working together with local artisans, she has become more than well equipped in blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design concepts.

The design of the Macondo cuff is inspired by the «El Dorado« legend. A pre-Columbian legend telling the story of a Muisca king, who used to be the leader of one of the indigenous tribes high in the Andes Mountains. He would cover himself in gold dust during festivals and then dive from a raft into Lake Guatavita in Colombia. Also, pieces of gold and precious jewels were thrown into the lake to honor a god that lived underwater. The Macondo Round Charm symbolizes opulence and luck in pre-Columbian tradition.
