As the createur of fashion and home décor brand Antilope, Camila Restrepo has found the perfect outlet to vent her passion for aesthetics and design. After finishing her master studies in Textile Design in Madrid, nothing was to stop the Colombian born fashion connoisseur from fulfilling her life long dream.
Her love for flora and fauna and the manual arts runs through the family: growing up, she was always surrounded by animals and nature. During the holidays and weekends, she and her family would be off to their country house. While her mother was usually vested in carving out the most enchanting wooden works of art here, Camila would flick through piles of books that brimmed with illustrations of the most exotic creatures and plants. These experiences have unmistakeably inspired her and made her into the person she has become today.
Her background as a graphic and textile designer are essential in refining her brand. By hand-drawing illustrations to subsequently print them on high quality textiles -or any other surface for that matter-, she can turn any object into a mesmerizing work of art. As each print tells a unique story, she has mastered the art to transform the most delicate fabrics into colourful canvases. All the while, the versatility of the fabrics and designs allows for a huge variety of styles and applications.

With every piece carefully finished by hand, Antilope covers a wide fashion spectrum when it comes to summer wear: from bright yet breezy sarongs and pareos, to elegant cover-ups and sophisticated (head) scarves. Aside from clothing, Camila also launched a range of home décor objects, varying from placemats and pillows to tablecloths.
Although Antilope is the ultimate way for her to craft her own exclusive universe, she doesn’t shun collaborations with other likeminded Colombian designers. In this capacity, she has partnered up with Pajaro Limon and Flor Amazona, the latter who created bangles using her prints. Yet no matter what the creation, her fondness for nature always shines through.
